Below you’ll find a summary of what’s new, what’s coming, and what you may have missed.

🚀 Recently released

Spouse/dependent card update

HealthEquity is updating how spouse and dependent cards¹ are issued, making it easier to request cards when they’re needed.

What's changing:

  • Only the account holder will automatically receive a card.

  • Spouse and dependent cards will no longer be automatically issued.

  • Members can request cards for spouses or dependents, anytime.

  • This change will apply to enrollments beginning June 1st, 2026.

Analyzer plan design

Analyzer is HealthEquity's data intelligence platform that gives employers on-demand visibility into their HSA program performance, including benchmarking against industry peers, employee financial outcome segmentation, and plan optimization modeling.

We’ve expanded the Analyzer experience with new plan design capabilities that support more structured, data-driven evaluation and optimization. These enhancements are designed to support complimentary plan design consultations with HealthEquity’s Strategic Advisory Services (SAS) team. Employers can review benchmarking insights and explore plan design improvements in partnership with a HealthEquity consultant, based on the employer's goals.

What to look forward to:

  • Enhanced benchmarking insights to assess plan performance against peers

  • Consultant-supported plan design insights to evaluate and optimize plan design

  • Plan data collection to support more accurate plan design discussions

  • Improved visibility into plan performance to support more strategic decision-making

  • Employers will be able to view their data against the industry of their choice

Marketplace expansion with Diagnostics and Men’s Health

Two new offerings are coming soon to HealthEquity Marketplace: Diagnostics and Men’s Health. These additions continue to expand the marketplace experience by giving members access to additional health and wellness solutions through trusted partners, directly within the HealthEquity experience.

What to expect:

Through these offerings, eligible members will be able to:

  • Use HSA or FSA funds for eligible services and prescriptions

  • Access clinician-ordered lab testing and virtual care services

  • Access additional options that support preventive care and whole-person health

Expanded Expedited Claims – Dental and Vision (EZ Receipts Web)

Expedited Claims has expanded to Dental and Vision claim types on the EZ Receipts web experience for all opted-in clients. Previously limited to Prescription (Rx) and Over the Counter (OTC) claims, FSA, LPFSA and HRA plan participants can quickly upload receipts and submit accurate claims for Rx, OTC, Dental and Vision reimbursement. AI-powered technology is designed to reduce claims filing and processing time and accelerate reimbursement. Actual processing times may vary.

What to expect:

  • Accurate claims submission the first time

  • Reduced processing time for more plan participants across more claims

  • Better use of benefits and reduced unused funds by removing reimbursement barriers

  • Expedited Claims communication to eligible plan participants

Passkey Fallback

Passkey fallback supports an account holder who has not been able to register a passkey due to device settings, firewalls, or other technical issues that blocked successful registration. Account holder security is important to us. We want to ensure user identity when accessing their account. The fallback mechanism ensures users can authenticate when passkeys are unavailable.

If the account holder has previously completed identity verification steps during passkey registration but was unable to successfully create a passkey, we’ll help them save time on a return login to mobile or web portal.² Our systems recall their verification results and registered device and revert to a one-time passcode (OTP) process via text or voice call for verification. If they are unable to verify identity after several attempts, the account will be temporarily locked, and they may call member services for assistance. Without a registered passkey, the passkey fallback login method will repeat each time they access their account.

Take action on SFTP changes now

Planned updates to HealthEquity’s Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) sites may affect how organizations send, receive, and transfer files.

What to know:

  • We are retiring the SFTP site ftp.wageworks.com

  • All file transfer setups not currently using secureftp.healthequity.com must update their connection settings

  • Firewalls and IP allow lists will need to support new IP ranges

  • Take action, review and update connections now

  • These changes are required by August 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM MT to avoid service disruption

Detailed instructions have been sent to system users’ technology teams, providers, and/or third-party vendors early to ensure a smooth transition. For full details, refer to the SFTP communication here.

📢 In case you missed it

Passkey rollout is underway

Passkey enablement continues for participants using the HealthEquity and EZ Receipts portals.

Why it matters:

  • Passkeys are required and allow participants to sign in using Face ID, fingerprint, or a device PIN—eliminating the need for passwords.

  • This phishing-resistant technology helps protect funds, personal information, and health data from fraud while delivering a faster, easier login experience.

Resources, FAQs, and flyers are available in the Sponsor Resource Hub and Member and Plan Participant Resource Center.

COBRA Participant and Help Tab updates

We’re reimagining the Participant and Help tabs to make it easier for clients to find the information they need quickly—saving time and simplifying everyday tasks.

What’s improved:

  • Enhanced search experience: A refreshed layout makes navigation more intuitive and better aligned with other applications you use day to day

  • Redesigned ‘Show All’ participant page: Quickly expand or collapse to make updates, enter a qualifying event, or process a rehire

  • Richer participant account views: See the big picture or drill down. You can now sort or filter to view more detailed participant data, such as qualifying event information, notices, and billing details

  • Improved participant activity tracking: Expand activity views, apply filters, or search by keyword to quickly locate relevant actions and updates

Simplified HSA transfer-in experience

We’ve introduced a streamlined digital experience that makes it easier for members to consolidate their health savings by moving existing Health Savings Account (HSA) funds from other custodians to HealthEquity.

What to look forward to:

  • Replaces manual, paper-based transfer requests with a fully digital submission process

  • Clear guidance throughout the experience so members understand what to expect at each step

No action is required from employers, brokers, or partners, and this update removes friction and improves transparency and ease of use for members.
