This article guides you through setting up your security question, creating a password, and verifying your email for client portal access.

Initial Client Portal login and security setup

Upon your initial login at WageWorks.com, you will be prompted to add a security question and answer, set up a password, and confirm your email address. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

1. Security question and answer:

  • Choose a security question that is unique and only known to you

  • Ensure your answer is longer than 4 characters

You will receive an email confirmation once your security question and answer are updated.

2. Password setup and rules

When setting your new password, please ensure it meets the following criteria:

  • Must be 12 or more characters long

  • Include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one symbol

  • Not contain your last name, first name, or username

3. Email verification process:

  • Once you verify your email, you will receive an email and site confirmation.

  • After verification, you can fully access the website.

If you did not receive a verification email, please check your spam/junk folders. If you are unable to find the verification email, follow the instructions below to have it re-sent to you.

Resend Email Verification

If you are logging in to the client portal and your email has not been verified, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to WageWorks.com - you can still log in without email verification initially.

  2. You will see a message prompting you to verify your email address.

  3. From this message, you can choose to:

    1. Resend the verification email.

    2. Continue to the Employer Site (only after verifying your email address).
