HealthEquity offers non-discrimination testing (NDT) for groups with reimbursement account(s) as an optional add-on service (fees may apply).
Annual testing for the employer group is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to ensure that plans do not discriminate in favor of highly compensated or key employees with respect to plan eligibility, pre-tax contributions, or benefits. The IRS has a document specifically for Non-Discrimination Testing.
NDT is required for the following plans:
Cafeteria Plans
Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (HFSA)
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA)
Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)
Health Savings Account (HSA)
If you would like to complete the testing through HealthEquity, please contact the Client Services Team. After you make this request, HealthEquity will send you an email, and so will our Non-Discrimination Testing site with credentials to log in and start the testing.
If you need to make corrections to your NDT, you will need to complete the testing again (fees may apply).
