Member Welcome Message Setup

Learn how to create custom messages displayed on the member portal for your employees.

The HealthEquity Client Site has a feature that allows you to customize messages displayed on the Member Site when members log in to their HealthEquity account.

Things to know

  • Messages are displayed to eligible participants each time they log in to the participant/member site.

  • Messages are used to emphasize your program features.

  • Messages can be changed as often as you’d like.

  • Messages will be displayed according to display order (after system-generated action items).

  • Messages display from the Start Display Date through the Stop Display Date.

  • You can add future messages for some or all employee groups.

  • To stop or cancel a message, change the Stop Display Date.

  • Any message with the same date as both the Start Display Date and Stop Display Date will not display.

Create a message

  • From the Dashboard, click Participants > PPT Site Messages.

  • Click on ‘Add a Message’ in the right-hand corner.

  • Enter a message header within the ‘Header’ field.

  • Enter your message in the ‘Message’ field, using either HTML codes (instructions in next section) or regular text.

    • There will be no formatting available if you use regular text.

    • Select a date range to display your message and enter the start and end date. Messages with no end date will continue to be displayed indefinitely.

  • Determine whether the message is directed toward all or just some of your Benefit Groups.

  • Use the check boxes to indicate which Groups will see the message. Select ‘Save’ when you are finished.

  • If applicable, use the checkbox to display the message to commuter groups.

  • Select ‘Save Display Order’ after you have entered numbers in the Display field to determine the order in which multiple messages should display on-screen.

Formatting messages using HTML

You can enter messages using regular text; however, you will not be able to reflect indentation, bold font, italics, or any other type of formatting tools, unless you use HTML codes.

  • <B> Text following will be in bold font.

  • </B> Turns off bold and returns to default font setting.

  • <BR> Line break will follow. If you would like more than one line break, enter additional codes.

  • <P> Paragraph space will follow. This automatically creates two returns for you.

  • <I> Text following will be in italics.

  • </I> Turns off italics and returns to default font setting.
